The Kenya Kiri AB Mill Coffee emerges from the verdant Kirinyaga County, renowned for its deep-rooted coffee culture. This distinguished coffee is cultivated by a community of over 1,200 smallholder producers who are part of the Ngiriambu Farmers’ Co-operative Society Ltd. These producers are not only coffee cultivators but also stewards of their land and tradition.

Central to the Kiri AB blend are the varietals Ruiru 11, SL 28, SL 34, and Batian, thriving at an elevation of around 1,450 meters. The volcanic soils of the region, along with an optimal climate, create ideal conditions for these beans to develop their unique flavors.

Processed through a traditional washed method and sun-dried on raised beds, the coffee benefits from the local climate, allowing for two harvest seasons each year. This not only enhances the quality of the beans but also bolsters the economic wellbeing of the producers.

Environmental sustainability is a cornerstone of the Kiri Factory's ethos. The factory employs eco-friendly agricultural practices and efficient water management to minimize its ecological footprint.

The path from cherry to cup involves rigorous processes. The coffee cherries undergo overnight fermentation, followed by washing and sun-drying over a period of 7 to 15 days. During this phase, the beans are meticulously tended to ensure premium quality.
