Coffee Nace S.A Micromill is operated by the Navarro Ceciliano family in the Tarrazú region. The family has more that 100 years of history in coffee production, with knowledge, experience, and passion passed on to each new generation. Alongside their micromill, the family also has farms located 1350-1900 m.a.s.l. which provides a variety of microclimates for their coffee production.
This lot of Caturra and Catuai underwent natural processing at the mill. Ripe cherries are sorted to remove defects, before being dried for an average of 15 days.
The Tarrazú region is high in the mountains of the southern Pacific region south of San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica. Most farms here are at or above 2000m.a.s.l. The climate here is defined by two distinct seasons: a rainy season from May until November, and a dry season from December to April. These two seasons encourage consistent coffee blossoming, indicating a reliable and uniform harvest.
