Description

Grown on the southern slopes of Mt Kenya, this coffee is processed at the Thunguri Wet Mill, part of the Kibirigwi Farmer Cooperative Society, who have been growing coffee since 1953. This region produces coffee with classic Kenyan flavour profiles that we’ve come to expect of specialty Kenyan coffees.

Red ripe cherries are hand selected, and delivered to the wet mill on the same day. Parchment is then fermented, washed, and sun dried. The dry parchment is milled and bagged at Sangana coffee mills and transported to the dry mill warehouses. This coffee is sold through the Nairobi auction, before passing through Jowam Coffee Exporters on its way to the UK for our importing partner, DR Wakefield.
