Whilst new to us, Bookkisa has made a name for itself over many years as a reliable, consistent, and exciting coffee.
Bookkisa is the locality where this coffee lot has been sourced, in the West Guji Zone in Ethiopia. It is common practice in these regions for smallholder farmers to sell their harvested coffee cherry to a local processing station, where they can access support with processing and financing. This coffee is processed by Sookoo Coffee, who mostly focus on naturally producing coffee.
Harvested cherries are meticulously sorted, and spread thinly and dried on raised beds for 15-20 days, with regular rotation to ensure even drying and release of moisture. Once an ideal moisture level is reached, the coffee is left to rest before preparing for export.
Orders placed before 8am on working days are typically dispatched the same day. Please note that we do not process orders over the weekend.
