This anaerobic coffee is processed at the Migoti Mountain Station in the Bujumbura Province of Burundi. It is made up of harvested cherries from around 25 smallholder producers in the region, and has undergone a controlled fermentation in sealed tanks without oxygen, creating a complex and lively coffee profile.
Owners of the processing station, Migoti Coffee work directly with farming communities in the region, ensuring that producers receive premium prices for their quality harvests, and also have access to long-term investment in training, agronomy support, and access to seedlings for future harvests, building the next generation of coffee production.
Migoti are steadily increasing their output and quality has increased year on year. Prioritising sustainable practices and furthering education on techniques to enhance crop quality and yield has resulted in consistently high cup scores that place Migoti among the top specialty coffees from Burundi.
